Planner inputs
The flock planner runs primarily in your browser. The site does not currently require a user account or save your personalized flock answers to an application database.
ZIP-code lookup
If you enter a U.S. ZIP code, the browser may send that ZIP code to the Zippopotam.us lookup service so the planner can obtain an approximate postal-area location for climate refinement. If the lookup is unavailable, the planner falls back to a state-level profile.
Analytics
The production code includes an optional Google Analytics configuration. Analytics should remain disabled until a measurement ID is configured. If activated, this policy and any required consent mechanism should be reviewed for the jurisdictions in which the site operates.
Advertising
The production code includes optional Google AdSense placements. Ads remain disabled until publisher and ad-slot IDs are configured. Google and advertising partners may use cookies or similar technologies when advertising is activated, subject to their policies and applicable consent requirements.
Affiliate links
Affiliate programs may use referral identifiers or cookies to attribute qualifying purchases after a visitor follows a commercial link. See the affiliate disclosure for the site's recommendation-independence policy.
Policy updates
This page should be updated before public launch and whenever analytics, advertising, affiliate programs, user accounts, saved flock plans, email collection, or other new data processing is enabled.
